The 6th annual Feb 48 begins... and premiers this weekend!
One Song Productions is proud to announce the beginning of the 6th Annual Feb 48, an annual One Song tradition. Every year, we hold auditions for writers and actors, who will be mixed and matched into four teams of one to two writers, one director, one stage manager, and four actors, who, when cast, will write and produce a one act show in 48 hours. This is an absolutely thrilling experience for everyone involved, and every year we're amazed at what the teams create.
The shows will go up this Sunday at 7:30pm in the Carrboro Arts Center. The pieces will all be family appropriate, so feel free to bring the kids along! Just DVR the Super Bowl and head on over. Admission is free, but donations aare always welcome! Any and every donation is tax deductable.

Thanks to everyone who auditioned for Hamlet!
Congratulations to the cast of Hamlet! We had a lot of strong and well rounded actors come and audition at the public library, and dreaded having to have to choose specific actors from such a talented body.
If you didn't make it, don't be discouraged from auditioning for One Song shows in the future! We encourage you to audition for the annual Feb 48 on January 30th, and for Wait Until Dark later in the spring.

Auditions for Hamlet are right around the corner!
One Song is looking to cast 12-14 actors for our winter production of "Hamlet." The show will be directed by Rebecca Ripperton and rehearsals will run from January through the beginning of March, when the show will go up at Common Ground Theatre in Durham. (The whoe will run from March 4th through March 6th)
We are looking for strong, versatile actors, who are capable of taking on end experimenting with multiple characters. However, it should be noted that no experience is necessary to audition.
In this production, the hope is to make the play accessible for all. Shakespeare wrote for the masses, not scholars, and his "Hamlet" is a dynamic play, full of wit, tragedy, and questions that remain relevant to this day. Actors should be prepared to live into the vitality of the play as fully as possible.
No preparation is necessary, but please wear cltohes you're comfortable moving in. Also, if you play a musical instrument, please bring it! You may be asked to perform a short piece of your own choosing.
Please contact the director at rripperton@gmail.com for more information or with questions.
